Senator John Kerry (D-Mass.) has been working behind the scenes to get fellow Democratic senators to support a call for an investigation into the Downing Street Memo, a memo which proves that the Bush administration had decided to invade Iraq and fix the intelligence around the policy despite denials from administration officials at the time.
At this point Kerry has only gotten nine Dems to sign on and our Senator Ron Wyden isn't one of them. Let's urge him to support Senator Kerry in his quest to start an investigation into this. You can e-mail Senator Wyden here and once you've done that you can call his DC office first thing on Monday at 877.SOB.U.SOB (the main congressional switchboard.)
The nine Senators who are supporting an investigation so far are: Jon Corzine, Tim Johnson, Frank Lautenberg, Ted Kennedy, Barbara Boxer, Tom Harkin, Jack Reed, Jeff Bingaman and Dick Durbin.
If Tim Johnson from the red state of South Dakota has signed on, there is no excuse for any other Senator not to.
